Mrs. Veronica Carrillo

Once challenge has been connecting with parents who are not technology savvy, so they can support their children. The longer we are in distance learning, the less the students are interacting/engaging with the teachers.

I have 4 teachers. 3 of them did a fabulous job jumping in to distance learning. Engaging in PD and learning on their own. 1 did not. I required she set up Google Classroom which she did, but that was it. She is only compliance driven, not at all engaged in the process. Any ideas about how to get her motivated? I know this is probably just a teacher quality issue, but any ideas would be appreciated.
Peter Towne

@susan Keeler you may try modeling the staff meetings through distance learning, Zoom, assigning collaborative work for leadership team or grade level PLCs in a google classroom to get the teacher used to the concepts

Thanks, Jeremy. We had a weekly whole staff meeting via Zoom as well as a separate teacher meeting. Teachers shared what they were doing, what was working, what wasn’t. We were all part of each other’s classrooms. I’m not giving up on her… unfortunately she is a veteran who really doesn’t want to be there.
Pastor Doug
